5. Brief Introduction to the Speaker:
Zhou Qigang, graduated from Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, obtained his Doctor’s Degree in 2006, and was promoted as associate professor in Chongqing Technology and Business University in 2008. He has been the vice president of the College of Tourism and Land Resources of Chongqing Technology and Business University since 2009. He is in charge of courses like Geographic Information System, Basis and Application of Remote Sensing, Land Evaluation, The Real Estate Operating and Management, and Cadastral Survey. His main research direction is the “3 S” technology and land utilization. In recent years, he has hosted and participated in many projects, such as the urban and rural planning, land management, tourism planning, 3S technology, and feasibility study of project. His representative projects are The Second Land Survey of Shizhu (Rural Part), Construction of “Four to One” Management Information System in Sha Pingba District of Chongqing, The Evaluation of Ecological Environment in New North Zone, Remote Sensing of Land Utilization of Three Gorges Reservoir Area, and Study on Ecological Risk Assessment in Barrier of Three Gorges Reservoir Area, etc. In recent years, he has issued more than 20 research papers in domestic and foreign journals, among which almost 10 papers have been searched by three world largest retrieval systems SCI, EI and ISTP.Warmly welcome teachers and students to actively participate in the discussion!
